JESUSITO G. MORALLOS


JESUSITO G. MORALLOS (jgm@fmh.ph) received his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1992, and admitted to the Philippine bar in 1993.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas in 1986.  .  He is a member of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. He is an accredited Arbitrator of the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission and a member of the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators. He is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch) and the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center. He is also a member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (Philippine Branch). From 1993 to 1994, he worked with QUISUMBING TORRES & EVANGELISTA, a law firm associated with BAKER & McKENZIE, where he was exposed to the commercial practice of the firm.  He specializes in construction, property development, and arbitration laws.  He also has extensive experience in environmental, infrastructure, energy and mining, build-operate-transfer, and real estate laws.  He writes the Construction Law and Jurisprudence columns of the PHILIPPINE CONSTRUCTION TODAY magazine.  He is a management consultant of a number of construction and real estate development firms. He is a regular speaker in seminars on Construction Laws, Construction Contracts Management, and International and Domestic Arbitration. He is acknowledged as a ‘local partner’ in the Doing Business yearly publications jointly of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation.
